Ingredients

  • 1 C butter or margarine
  • 1/3 C sugar
  • 2 t water
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 2 C sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 C chopped pecans
  • Confectioner’s Sugar (Powdered Sugar)

Steps

  1. Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla; mix well; add flour and pecans;
  2. Chill 3 or 4 hours.
  3. Shape into balls or fingers.
  4. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in slow oven (325ºF) about 20 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly; roll in confectioner’s sugar.
